Frances Odell Fisher, 85, went to be with her Lord on Sept. 3, 2004. Fran was born in Berry, Ala., and raised in Missouri. Fran and her family relocated to California in 1955. For the past 28 years, she resided in Apple Valley and Hesperia. Her generosity and kind heart were inspirations to her family and friends. She loved the Lord and applied his teachings for her strength and direction in life. Her family adored her, and she them. For many years, she owned and operated a number of beauty salons throughout the country. During her senior years, at a time when most people retire, she launched a new career as a hotel manager. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Vernon Fisher. She is survived by her five children, June Turner of Apple Valley, Patty Nethaway of Leucadia, Kenneth Fisher of Willits, Brenda Dickson of Webster, Texas, and Dan Fisher Atascadero; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
