Obituary as: BELL CITY, Mo. -- Samuel Alberson, 79, of Bell City died Saturday, July 31, 2004, at the John J.Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. He was born Oct. 25, 1924, in Corning, Ark., son of Frank Alberson and Mary Jones Cooper. He and Charity Estella Griffin were married March 15, 1947. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Alberson was a member of Sikeston Community Church in Sikeston, Mo. He was a farmer before retiring. Survivors include his wife; a son, Sammy of Bell City; two daughters, Joan Kruger and Melissa Hubbard, both of Sikeston; a brother, Larry Cooper of Blodgett, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and four sisters.
