This
site is definitely a work in
progress. It represents the best that we have at the moment, but
will change as more information becomes available, both from written
sources and from your contributions. The major purposes of the site
are to provide information to those interested and to request
corrections and additional information.
There
are notes attached to each
individual. These provide the sources of information and will allow
further analysis by interested reviewers.
Living means that an
individual was
born in the last 90 years and we don't have a death date. By privacy
act policies we cannot post this information on a public site. If
you want the data on yourself and your family we would be happy to
provide it separately.
When
we have a series of families in
a given area or situation that we can't link into a common ancestor
yet, we are linking them to a "temporary collector" family. It aids in
research and they will be moved as we encounter more
information.
We
use a single spelling of our
family name within a database. Usually we try to use the most
common spelling for that group, but not always. This is the case,
even when we know that an individual or family group use the other
spelling. It helps to find others of the family in continuing
research. We will change sometime in the future.
