Penley/Pendley families in Tennessee and surrounding areas

We encountered a large number of Pendley's and Penley's in census and other records in Tennessee for whom we could not link into one of the other databases. Later we found others in South Carolina, Florida, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Washington DC, with the same problem. Many in these same areas do link into other databases, but this is a holding file pending establishment of links to the other databases. There is no consistent spelling to the last names in this group. This file also includes early Virginia information
