the Kingsport Library. They gave birth as 3/18/1835, but all census records

questions about whether Catherine could have been an Indian or whether Jesse
was adopted??Mrs Rod Barnett talked with Pearlie's daughter in Elyria, Ohio, and she said
that Jesse was illigetimate. She also said that he was 95 yrs old when he died, but the all censuses until 1900 give his birth in abt 1841. She said that he was part Indian. This information is different from other information, but there may be truth in it.Based on Mrs Barnett's information and H.D. Kilgore's, his birthdate is set at 1835.
